Description
Premium wellness brands wanting an actual glass option for retail sale choose the Hydro 550ml Glass Drink Bottle's borosilicate glass over standard soda-lime glass, since borosilicate resists thermal shock and shattering noticeably better. Soda-lime glass is cheaper to produce, but it can crack under a sudden change in temperature that borosilicate handles without issue, though neither glass matches the drop resistance of a metal bottle.
